About Us
Education Otherwise is the Home Education charity, supporting the right of families to choose the best form of education for their child since 1977.
The charity liaises with Government, public bodies and NGOs, whilst providing advice and support to home educating families through a national helpline and signposting to over 330 local home education groups countrywide.
Education Otherwise also publishes regular academic articles relating to home education and maintains a data base of relevant research. We aim to promote, maintain and improve public awareness of the availability of choice for families, who may wish to make educational provision for their children otherwise than through state-maintained or private educational settings.
